King George

Modifying cheap costumes… I bought a cheap King George costume, and brought it to my friend Jane’s house. She ripped the cheap fur off and created this beautiful cape with matching fur on the crown, and used gold thread to embroider around all of the yellow. I rhinestoned the entire crown and the yellow parts of the costume. We didn’t like the buttons so those were switched out for red velcro. Thriftstore finds helped me out with some old shoes. The staff is a dowl rod and the end of a curtain rod, also rhinestoned.
